1. Standing up for what she believes in, a 13-year-old female surfer wrote to a popular surfing mag to criticize the lack of women within their magazine pages. The Australian teen believes that girl surfers deserve just as much exposure as the guys, which we totally agree with! She wrote, “I would subscribe to your magazine if only I felt that women were valued as athletes instead of dolls.”
