Fact: Bad things happen. And at some point or another, they will happen to you.
Sounds scary, right? But it’s okay, because no matter what happens, you’ll make it through anything with a little skill called “resilience.” Resilience is your ability to bounce back after a trauma, to survive and come out stronger. And it’s a skill that you not only already have, but one you can work to develop even more.
In this month’s issue of Choices, we meet four teens who experienced significant traumas in their lives. Now, they each have come back stronger, braver, and with sage advice to give to teens going through similar situations. We took their best advice (along with some of our own) to create a How to Deal video that will help you with whatever big, bad things sneak into your own life.
Did you know that there’s a teen health, wellbeing, and life skills magazine for teens? Check out Choices magazine and help your teens develop the skills they need.
