The celebration kicked off today and events will continue throughout the week, including kayaking at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse, dancing in Union Square Park, and a “5-Borough Relay Race.”

The main celebration will be this Saturday in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Kids and teens are invited to join and participate in everything from football games and tennis drills to dancing and double dutch, led by over 30 national and local partner organizations including the NFL, NBA, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and more. There will also be special performances and appearances by Big Time Rush, Ariana Grande, and cast members from some of Nickelodeon’s hit shows.
